FAMILIES, charities, churches, schools, businesses, clubs or societies, are invited to join in with the east London Christmas tree festival.

The festival, now in its third year, takes place on December 13 and 14.

Organisers of the festival said the idea is for each organisation to bring a tree – fresh or artificial, decorated in any way, to be part of a huge Christmas tree showcase.

Jacquie Pierre who is a senior soldier at the Salvation Army said: “Trees can be decorated in a traditional style or one to reflect a business or activity. “The only limit is your imagination.”
