STAFF and clients from Havering Mind are fearful for the future of the organisation.

The charity has had almost half its government funding removed from December 31 when the Havering Clinical Commissioning Group starts using an alternative service provider.

The cut will mean the loss of its community wellbeing service.

THE 'curse' of the manager of the month award struck as Phil Brown's Shrimpers suffered defeat at the newly-promoted Hatters on Saturday.

Having lost to Morecambe the previous weekend, and with Brown having collected his award, he was let down by sloppiness at the back, as the Hatters bagged maximum points, from Alex Lawless and Mark Cullen first-half strikes.

Despite a bright start with Shaquile Coulthirst and Kevan Hurst causing the improving Luton problems down the flanks, it was poor defending that allowed Scott Griffiths a clear path to find the unmarked Lawless, who netted with a fine chip on 17 minutes.
